Admissions Policy

The AUTHENTIC SUCCESS PROGRAM FOR MEN is for adult men who possess:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Basic understanding of what coaching is and what it is not;
  • The desire to learn and the willingness to grow;
  • Motivation to succeed;

Ethics

Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd and its employees and representatives acknowledges and commits to the Code of Ethics as outlined by the International Coach Federation (ICF). The ICF adheres to a form of coaching that honors the client as the expert in their life and work, believing that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. Participant conduct and responsibilities

The participant has been made aware that the programs offered by Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd are in no way to be construed as psychotherapy, psychological counseling, or any type of therapy, nor as financial advice. The participant constitutes that he does not hold Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd responsible for any decisions or actions he takes as a result of his or her participation in any of their programs or follow-up coaching.

Liability

I understand that I shall have no claims against Life Mechanics (Proprietary) Limited, or any of its shareholders, directors, presenters, employees, agents, sub-contractors or any participants attending its or any of their programs ("Seminar"), for any cause of action howsoever arising, including claims for loss or damages that I may sustain as a result of attending the Seminar. I understand that all advice furnished and/or presented to me at the Seminar is the opinion of the presenter and in no other way is to be construed as financial advice. Any information and/or advice extracted from the Seminar shall be used by me entirely at my own risk.

I hereby acknowledge that I understand the contents of this Indemnity clause.

Confidentiality

Neil Bierbaum and Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd and its coaches/trainers recognize that the participants may share future plans and goals, business affairs, financial, job and personal information. Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd trainers will not at any time, either directly or indirectly, voluntarily use any information for their own benefit, nor will they disclose or communicate this information to a third party.

Copyright and intellectual property

The participant acknowledges that, unless otherwise stated, Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd is the owner of:

  • all rights to the intellectual property which include designs, know how, copyright, goodwill and trade marks whether existing now or in the future;
  • all documentation, websites, workbooks, manuals and other material used by Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd trainers.

The participant undertakes and commits not to use or reproduce or distribute electronically or through other means any of the material made available to him without the written permission of Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd.

Coaching sessions

Coaching sessions, when offered, must be booked and paid for separately through Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd. Coaching sessions must be taken as a batch and not ad hoc or at random.

Sessions must be booked in a regular time slot in consecutive weeks, or
fortnightly, or monthly. Exceptions to those time slots will gladly be made by agreement, but the regular time slots must be booked. 24-hours notice of cancellation is requested, or else sessions will be counted as having been taken. Coaching sessions must be used within the agreed time period plus 50% (eg. if booked over six weeks they must be used within nine weeks); sessions cannot be carried forward indefinitely.

The coach reserves the right to delay the start of the six coaching sessions according to his availability. (In other words, depending on availability, coaching may not start immediately upon the client reaching eligibility.)

The client may request, and the coach may appoint, another suitably qualified coach if it is not possible to match coach and client availability for sessions, or if demand exceeds supply.

Bid process and qualification

The bid assessors' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Quality guarantee and termination

Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd and its coaches/trainers are committed to optimal learning results and the achievement of goals by participants. If the participant is not satisfied with any Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd program he/she is entitled to terminate his/her participation and receive a full refund. This refund will be granted if the person can show that he has used the materials, workshops and coaching to the full extent up to that point and that he/she still has not benefited or will not benefit in any way. Requests for refund must be in written form (email is sufficient) to an Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd representative within 24 hours of completion of the two-day course.

Registration and attendance at special events

If attendance on a special program is booked and cancellation is received less than four weeks before the start of a program Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd will charge 20% of the tuition, less than seven days before the start of the program 50% and less than three days before the start of the program 100%, except that the participant provides someone else to take over the registration. Any materials received are to be returned at the participant's expense.

Facilitation cancellation

Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops, courses and special events although this will not be done without good reason. The participant will be informed in time and the registration will be transferred to the next available workshop/course/event.

Salvadorian clause

In the case that one or more of these terms become disempowered, the other terms shall not be impacted by that. Life Mechanics (Pty) Ltd and the participant shall agree upon a substitute term, which comes closest to the discontinued term.
